A new blog I’ll be producing from time to time is from a really great website as you can see above in the banner I posted. \u00a0From there, I came across some great National Weather Service packages they produce. \u00a0So, I’ll be sounding the horn on a variety of weather hazards they are forecasting. So, let’s get started…<\/span><\/p>\n

A storm system is expected to track across the Ohio Valley into the central Appalachians Tuesday night and Wednesday, then into the Northeast and off the New England coast by Thursday morning. This storm will bring a myriad of winter weather, but confidence is increasing that areas from northern Ohio into central and eastern New York and Northern New England will receive considerable snowfall from this system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Areas south of this axis of heavy snow will receive a mixture of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow, especially before the low center passes. While the mixture will reduce snowfall totals, some accumulation of ice is possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even further south from central Ohio and Pennsylvania to southern New York and southern New England, most of the precipitation from this storm will fall as rain. As the storm center passes, colder air will move in, winds will increase and become gusty, and the rain will change over to snow before ending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Travelers across the eastern Great Lakes into the Northeast, especially near and north of I-90, should be prepared for difficult winter weather conditions Wednesday into Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n
