Hi Everyone,<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, another big winter storm has ended. \u00a0What a powerful winter storm. \u00a0This storm brought record icing over the Deep South to heavy snowfall over Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and up into New England. \u00a0What was even more fascinating was all the lightning and thunder reports last night. \u00a0This was being caused by a very intense upper level low with the storm. \u00a0As this rotated north through last night prolific banding developed on the backside of the storm. \u00a0Some reports of 5 inches an hour were observed over Virginia, Maryland and eastern Pennsylvania. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I didn’t get any outdoor videos. \u00a0The first three videos describe how the storm was developing. \u00a0The one item I did mention about was the storm may produce intense banding on the backside. \u00a0Those bands never quite made into the immediate Philadelphia area. \u00a0It never quite materialized over South Jersey due to the position of the upper air. \u00a0Folks made out very well over portions of Virginia, Maryland and over eastern Pennsylvania.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
